| About / Additional Info: | Clerk and the Deputies serve an important role in the operation of the Tennessee court system. The duties of the clerk and/or deputies of the office are to attend each court session with all the papers for the case on the docket, administering oaths to parties and witnesses who testify, keeping electronic records of criminal court preliminary hearings, maintaining records of all court judgments or degrees in order of rendition of all receipts and disbursements in a case. Clerk's office handles civil proceedings in both court including issuing civil warrants, detainer warrants, executions by garnishment, bank levy, on person, vehicles or property. |
